Farming is considered one of the most dangerous careers in the United States. This is one of the reasons having farm liability insurance is so crucial. In 2009, the agriculture profession lost 440 of its workers to job-related fatalities according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Despite the risks common on the property, farms often welcome children onto the land for school field trips and the like. While there is a lot such a visit can teach young ones, it is vital certain safety precautions are taken.

According to the NVDaily.com, on July 2, 2011 a fired raged through and ravished the Strasburg Presbyterian Church in Strasburg, Virginia. The flames were started by faulty electrical wiring in the kitchen, which quickly developed into a devastating blaze. Although a group of church-goers were there at the time for an event, no one was hurt. The one hundred and eighty-two year old building was not so lucky and suffered substantial damage during the fire. At the time, it seemed improbable that it could be resurrected and be used again for services. It’s probably a good thing they had church insurance in place.
